GOTCHA is our annual office-wide water tag game that runs across our Royal LePage Integrity Realty team. It’s designed to be light, fun, and a great way to connect with colleagues in a playful, low-pressure way.
Once the game starts, every participant is secretly assigned another person in the brokerage. Your mission is to “tag” your assigned player with a small splash of water using a water soaker or splash toy. When you successfully tag them, you’ll be given a new person to tag and the game continues. At the same time, someone else has your name and is trying to tag you—so stay alert!
The game runs over weeks or months, around your normal work life, with simple safety rules and “no-splash zones” to keep things professional and respectful.
Introducing East & West Divisions
For 2026, GOTCHA will start with two divisions:
- East Ottawa Division – for participants who live or primarily work on the east side of Ottawa
- West Ottawa Division – for participants who live or primarily work on the west side of Ottawa
Both divisions begin separately. As soon as either division reaches 1–2 remaining participants, those finalists will automatically merge into one combined game with everyone still remaining from the other division. From that point on, all remaining players compete together until there is one overall GOTCHA Champion.
Gotcha Rules:
- No shootings are allowed inside any RLP office.
- The sidewalk and the front row of parking spaces outside each of the RLP buildings are off-limits. This includes the sidewalk that wraps around the entire Fairlawn building from the Vet clinic to the Shoppers Drug Mart.
- No shootings at a listed property, whether during a showing, open house, or any business-related visit to that property
- You may shoot your target in any public or private space (that isn’t restricted above) as long as it’s safe and respectful to the environment and people around.
- The organizer reserves the right to impose a time limit at any point. When announced, players must demonstrate proof of an attempt to eliminate their target within the set timeframe (e.g., text or photographic evidence of surveillance, plans, or an attempt) or they risk elimination.
- Once you’ve eliminated your target, you will inherit their target and continue the game until you’re either eliminated or win.
- Always ensure your actions do not cause harm or unnecessary disruption to others.
What You Need to Play
- A water soaker, splash toy, or small water-spraying device (we do not provide equipment)
- Willingness to have fun and participate respectfully
